Correction and challenge

How to challenge an input, a mapping, a calculation, or a factual error.

The record is append-only

Corrections are appended. Nothing is silently edited and nothing is quietly removed. A corrected certificate carries both the original and the correction.

What you can challenge

• An input - the material read was wrong, stale, or not yours.
• An entity mapping - the reading attributed a system or property to the wrong entity.
• A calculation - the scoring was misapplied against the disclosed method.
• A factual error - a stated fact in the certificate is incorrect.

What happens next

• The challenge is logged with its receipt time.
• The disputed position is re-checked against the disclosed protocol.
• The outcome is appended to the record, whether or not it favors us.
• Where the challenge succeeds, the certificate status moves to corrected and the correction is published alongside it.

Unfavorable outcomes stand

A challenge that shows we were wrong is published as such. We do not withdraw a reading to avoid recording a correction.
